About Membership
The Maumee Valley Whiskey Society is a private, membership based whiskey enthusiast community. Registered as a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, we are dedicated to using whiskey as a tool to help support other phanthropic causes in our community. Built on a foundation of shared passion, camaraderie, and a love of exceptional spirits, MVWS is more than a lounge -- it's a home for those who take whiskey seriously, but not too seriously.

Community & Events
MVWS is an active, people-first community that gathers regularly throughout the year. Members enjoy a wide variety of events including blind flight tastings, exclusive barrel pick experiences, concert series, charity bottle raffles, and member milestone celebrations. Our thriving Discord keeps members connected, informed, and engaged between events. At the heart of everything we do is a commitment to a positive, inclusive environment, upheld by a formal Code of Conduct that every member agrees to honor.
Application Process
MVWS uses a formal application process to ensure our community remains safe, welcoming, and the right fit for all involved. The application gives us the opportunity to get to know prospective members -- their experience with whiskey, what draws them to MVWS, and what they hope to contribute to and gain from the community.
Ready to Join MWVS?
Here's how it works. To get started:
- Submit your application from the links below.
- Our Board of Directors reviews applications weekly. Once you application is submitted, it will be considered in the next review cycle.
- After a short review, a board member will reach out to connect with you.
- Depending on the membership tier selected, they may schedule an in person meet up at the lounge. This is a chance to talk through your application and kick off the onboarding process.
- Once you're onboarded, you'll get a full tour of the lounge, a walkthrough of our house rules, as well as your official membership card and door code (for executive members).

All members receive an MVWS member card, access to our Discord community, access to Locker #28 at Barr's Public House, and food and beverage discounts at Barr's. Beyond that, benefits scale with your chosen tier:
