By forgoing chill-filtration and the typical 40% ABV dilution, this expression preserves the heavy, oily texture that defines the pot still style. It is triple-distilled from a mash of malted and unmalted barley and matured in ex-bourbon barrels, resulting in a dram that is simultaneously aggressive in proof and remarkably elegant in flavor.
Because this is bottled at natural cask strength, adding a few drops of water is highly recommended. This helps tame the alcohol heat to reveal more delicate floral notes and citrus peel.
